The Apple AR/VR Headset is Officially Announced

 Apple has announced a new type of computer called Apple Vision Pro. The new headset allows you to blend digital content into your surroundings. With controls that use your eyes, hands, and voice to interact with digital content, Vision Pro aims to revolutionize how we experience Apple interfaces.

The spatial operating system itself is intended to provide a sense of physicality. Interactive windows include shadows and shading that allow you to animate objects naturally within your view. Although you can be located within the environment you are in, you can also immerse yourself in environments that work similarly to virtual reality.

Apple is also working on integrating entertainment into Apple Vision Pro. This will include Apple Arcade games and 3D movies on the platform. Bob Igor also announced that Disney+ will be available on Apple Vision Pro starting day one.

The Apple Vision Pro will be priced at $3,499 and will be available next year. You'll be able to get more information and live demos from the Apple Store when it officially arrives.

MacBook Air 15 inch

Apple has just unveiled the 15-inch MacBook Air, the best 15-inch laptop in the world. With a wide 15.3-inch Retina Liquid display, the impressive performance of the M2 chip, up to 18 hours of battery life,1 and a silent fanless design, the new MacBook Air combines power and portability — all in the world's thinnest 15-inch laptop.

The 15-inch MacBook Air also delivers an unparalleled experience thanks to an all-new six-speaker sound system that delivers immersive spatial sound for the senses, along with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, MagSafe charging, and the power and ease of macOS Ventura. 

Mac Studio with M2 Ultra

Apple also unveiled the Mac Studio and Mac Pro, the two most powerful Macs ever. Mac Studio features the power of the new M2 Max and M2 Ultra, which deliver a huge boost in performance and enhanced connectivity in a stunningly compact design. Mac Studio is up to 6x faster than the most powerful 27-inch Intel-based iMac and up to 3x faster than the previous generation of Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra.2 Now featuring the M2 Ultra chip, Mac Pro combines the unprecedented performance of Apple's most powerful chip with the versatility of PCIe.Mac Pro expansion is up to 3x faster than the previous generation of Intel-based models.3 Mac Studio with M2 Ultra and Mac Pro features memory Unified up to 192GB, it has far more memory than the graphics cards of more advanced workstations, so it can withstand tough workloads that other systems can't handle.

The new Mac Pro also complements Mac's transition to Apple silicon chip capabilities, along with the rest of Apple's professional systems, providing users with the most powerful selection of professional products Apple has ever offered.

M2 Ultra chip

Apple today also announced the M2 Ultra chip, a new integrated single-chip (SoC) system that delivers tremendous performance for Macs and complements the M2 chip family. The M2 Ultra is the largest and most capable chip Apple has ever created, making the new Mac Studio and Mac Pro the most powerful desktop Mac ever. Built using second-generation 5nm processing technology, the M2 Ultra chip uses Apple's flagship UltraFusion technology to fuse the M2 Max chip template together to maximize performance. The M2 Ultra chip consists of 134 billion transistors – 20 billion more transistors than the M1 Ultra chip. The unified memory design supports up to 192GB of memory, 50 percent more than the M1 Ultra, and features a memory bandwidth of up to 800 800GB/s — twice as much as the M2 Max. 

The M2 Ultra also features a more powerful CPU that makes it 20 percent faster than the M1 Ultra, up to 30 percent larger GPU, and a 40 percent faster neural engine.1 It also features a media engine twice as powerful as the M2 Max chip to accelerate ProRes video supernaturally. With all these advancements, the M2 Ultra takes your Mac's performance to a whole new level once again. 

iOS 17 for Phone

Apple also announced today iOS 17, an advanced version that upgrades the phone, FaceTime, and messaging experience, makes sharing easier with a fast send feature, and smarter text input that improves typing speed and accuracy. iOS 17 also offers new experiences with Journal, an app that makes it easier for people to practice gratitude, while standby mode offers a new way to browse information at a glance when you put your iPhone into charging mode.

In a dramatic update to the Apple TV 4K, FaceTime is now expanding to include the largest screen in the house. With continuity camera support, users can start a video call directly from Apple TV, or start a call on an iPad and then hand it over to Apple TV to see friends and family on TV. The Quick Send feature makes it easy to share a file with a colleague or send photos to a friend in just a few seconds, and with iOS 17, the feature has new ways to share. NameDrop allows users to easily share contact information by bringing their iPhones closer together or bringing their iPhones closer to the Apple Watch.1 In the same way, users can also share content, turn on SharePlay to listen to music, watch a movie, or play a game while their iPhones are within walking distance of each other.

AutoCorrect receives a comprehensive update with the Converter Language Model, the latest machine-learning language model on the device for word prediction, to improve and increase users' experience and accuracy each time they type.

iPadOS 17 on iPad

Apple today reviewed iPadOS 17, which offers completely new ways for users to customize the lock screen and interact with widgets. Autofill makes working on PDFs easier, as it intelligently recognizes and fills out fields in forms, and the Notes app brings a new experience when adding comments in PDFs and collaborating on them with others. 

There are important updates to the Messages app, including trying new stickers, and users can now leave voice and video messages on FaceTime. The Health app comes with interactive charts, and HealthKit enables developers to create creative experiences designed for the iPad screen. iPadOS 17 is now available as a developer beta and will be available as a free software update this fall.

 watchOS 10

Apple today showcased watchOS 10, which offers Apple Watch users a new way to quickly display information through redesigned apps, a new smart stack that displays the tools needed when needed, and stunning new watch faces. 

Cyclists will benefit from new features coming to measurements, workout views, Bluetooth connectivity for power gauges, speed sensors, and step rate sensors, while new capabilities in the waypoints feature in the Compass app and Maps app come to help hikers. The Mindfulness app offers additional tools to support mental health. 

tvOS 17 

Apple announced today that software updates will be available this fall that will make using Apple TV 4K more fun, interactive, and exciting for everyone. With tvOS 17, FaceTime comes to Apple TV 4K for the first time, allowing users to enjoy the app on TV and join fun conversations with friends and family. tvOS 17 also offers the all-new Control Center and other enhancements that provide a more personalized experience that works better with iPhone. Apple TV 4K brings together Apple TV+ and all popular streaming apps — with cinema-comparable picture and sound quality — as well as Apple Music+, Apple Fitness, and Apple Arcade apps, bringing them to the biggest screen in your home. With a powerful A15 Bionic chip, smart controllers, and seamless interaction with Apple devices and smart home accessories, Apple TV 4K is the best device in the living room. iPadOS 17 is available today as a developer beta and will be available as a free software update this fall.

macOS Sonoma 

Apple today reviewed macOS Sonoma, the latest version of the world's most advanced desktop operating system that takes the Mac experience to the next level. Stunning screensavers and superior tools offer a whole new way to personalize.

Users can now place widgets on the desktop and interact with them with just a click, and with the magic of continuity, they can access the end-to-end ecosystem of iPhone widgets on Mac directly. With macOS Sonoma, video calls are more interactive with amazing new features that help users deliver remotely, such as Presenter Overlay, which places the presenter on top of the content being shared, and the Reactions feature, which enables fun, cinema-quality, gesture-based video effects. Major updates to Safari also bring the web browsing experience to the highest level. Profiles maintain a separate browsing experience between multiple topics or projects, and web apps allow faster access to favorite sites. The gaming experience is also much more enjoyable thanks to Gamemode, amazing new games, and a new game code rewriting toolkit that makes it easier for developers to bring more games to your Mac.

AirPods 

This fall, software updates via AirPods will unlock powerful new capabilities that take your personalized audio experience to another level. Using AirPods Pro (second generation) is easier across different atmospheres and interactions with three powerful new features: Adaptive Audio, Personalized Volume, and Conversation Awareness. The entire collection is also gaining new and improved features that make calls and automatic switching smoother.

Powerful new features for privacy and security

Apple today unveiled its latest innovations in privacy and security, including major updates to the Private Browsing feature on the Safari app, the Communication Safety feature, and Lockdown Mode, in addition to improvements in the app's privacy. Apple has also introduced new features and put privacy and security at the heart of its design, including Check-In, NameDrop, and Live Voicemail. These new efforts are the latest manifestation of Apple's firm belief that privacy is a fundamental human right and that good privacy is built on a strong foundation of security.

Vital information in new health fields

 Apple today announced new health features in iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and watchOS 10, expanding into two impactful areas and providing innovative cross-platform tools and experiences.

New mental health features allow users to record their momentary emotions and daily mood, see valuable information, and easily access assessments and resources. In addition, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch offer new vision health features that encourage healthy behaviors that help reduce the risk of nearsightedness, and the Health app is now available on iPad, giving users new ways to view their health data. All of these new features and existing health features are science-based and privacy-based.
